Rebirth

By: Ella Yu

She once thought she would get hurt

When they left her behind

She crawled, cried, and carried on

She heard nothing but silence

Far, far away from where she came

There stands a tall, sandy mountain

Torrid wind roaring over clouds

Rolling over plantations ceaselessly

Miserable with invisibility

She thought ghosts had stolen her soul

She could hardly peep through

But she heard it, louder than ever
