What is the most rewarding part of working at The Cantabile Collective (TCC)?
The most rewarding part of being at TCC is getting to be a part of such an amazing and supportive community of artists. Everyone is so kind and understanding, and I am grateful to be a part of The Cantabile Collective.
Where did your passion for music stem from? Is there anyone who inspired you in particular?
When I was younger, I used to watch a lot of TV shows that had many songs, which I would sing along to. Some of my earliest memories include singing along to my Hannah Montana CD in my room and having the best time ever. From early on, I loved to sing, and I listened to many different artists. Rather than just one person inspiring me, I appreciated each singer’s unique voice, and I tried to emulate their style.
What extracurriculars (clubs, organizations, sports, etc.) are you involved in outside of TCC?
Outside of TCC, I am involved in choir at my high school, where I enjoy singing and bonding with others through music. Additionally, I am involved in the Human Environmental Animal Team, where we aim to make the world a better place through positive activism. I am very passionate about these causes, and I hope to help make a positive change in the world. I am also involved in the Society of Women Engineers NEXT club, Model United Nations, the Anti-Racism Education Project, and more.
What have you discovered about yourself or others through working at TCC?
I have discovered that I love making covers of different songs to publish on YouTube. Previously, I mainly just sang for myself or in choir at school. Now, I have the chance to pursue something larger, and I am thankful for this great opportunity.
What are your dreams and aspirations in life?
My aspiration is to make a positive change in the world. Right now, I hope to do that by setting a positive example for people around me and constantly learning about the world we live in. In the future, I would like to pursue environmental engineering, so I will be able to help create a solution for a world problem.
Who is your favorite musical artist, and why?
I have numerous favorite artists who each have unique and distinct voices and stories. I love so many different types of music, so it’s hard to pick one favorite. Some of my favorites include Blackpink, Little Mix, Demi Lovato, Ventino, Shreya Ghoshal, and Stray Kids.
