C is blue as the sea

It welcomes the start of the sky

C-sharp is purple

but D-flat is soft and golden, my favorite

It’s mesh made of violet strings

interwoven with gold

D is a swirl

emeralds and blues that shimmer

D-sharp is grass on a dark evening

but E-flat is an oak tree in the morning

E is a red and yellow striped shirt

F is blue again, almost white

F-sharp is dark blue, almost black

but G-flat is the very tip of a flame

G is the deepest of red paint

and G-sharp is darker red still

A-flat is a dandelion field

A is my least favorite

sticky and sour like limes

A-sharp is snake scales

and B-flat is dewy orange

B is the beauty of glass at sunset

I see a rainbow when I close my eyes and open my ears
