Film

By: Ella Yu

Tom and Jerry, Harry Potter, Aladdin,

the teacher’s fingers fly in between keys

with each rhythm complementing the scene—

she is impressed by how everything fits.

A class project, she sighs.

Scrolling through the screen, she starts

wandering in the world of memories,

she has no idea which to choose.

She feels bubbles rubbing on her back,

then Sebastian arises with beats, and soon

clams and seahorses; drums and horns.

She opens her eyes, the blueness fades.

Was that real?

An “under the sea” world, No.

She sighs again and stops the music.

Maybe my life could be a movie, she thinks.
